The Vikings! The group to which I belong and the largest in the country, has some useful articles on its website, and some training and authenticity manuals here.

Regia Anglorum A good group, with a well made site. Take their information with a pinch of salt, though.

Vikings of Middle England A good group, based in Leicester. Have only met them a few times, but they seem like a good group.

Kitting up (Arms and armour)

Viking Crafts A nice selection of different items from weapons to jewellery, but can be a bit pricey.

Velvet Glove A good costume company - well recommended.

Paul Binns Swords Supplies some of the best weapons available, hand made and not too expensive. Also a good site for getting custom or unusual weaponry.

Medieval Arms Some nice, cheap things. But beware display items.

Jelling Dragon Has some interesting items that can be hard to get hold of, but can be pricey.

Get Dressed For Battle Good armour at a reasonable price. Worth looking into this site from time to time, as new items become available every few months.

Traders Row A part of the reenact website with a list of traders, some good, some less good, but can find most things here.

Histrenact Traders and Suppliers Another list of traders, categorised by time period.

Character (Do it yourself and persona)

Housebarra Early Period Some very interesting articles on Dark Age projects and characters.
