History
This page has been created in order to give a more in-depth view of the world that the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons inhabited over 950 years ago, in order to allow present members, and anyone else who is interested in the history of the British Isles in particular, to appreciate the ways in which our anscestors lived and viewed the world.
Eventually, it is hoped that this page will be expanded to give an overview of all of the significant Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms, as well as the Viking settlement of Europe and the Mediterranean. This will include notes on the patterns of colonisation, belief and diet of the different peoples who would go on to create the Europe we know today.
Currently this page includes a section on the different flags used during the Dark and Early Middle Ages, and a map of Dark Age England and Wales.
